Universitas Halu Oleo (UHO), also known as Halu Oleo University, serves as the academic home to 14 diverse faculties and a postgraduate program. These include the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Science, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, and the Faculty of Engineering. As one of the leading universities in Southeast Sulawesi, UHO fosters academic excellence, innovation, and holistic learning, creating an environment where students from various disciplines grow and thrive together.
As part of the pre-service teachers from Camarines Norte State College selected to participate in the SEA Teacher Program, the ten of us were warmly welcomed to the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Halu Oleo. Upon our arrival, we were guided through an orientation that introduced us to the university, its academic environment, and the experiences that awaited us throughout our exchange journey. It was a meaningful beginning that made us feel both excited and comfortable in a new place.

From the moment we stepped onto the campus, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The university atmosphere felt light, calm, and refreshing, surrounded by lush trees that added to its peaceful environment. What made the experience even more memorable was the kindness of the teachers and students, who welcomed us with genuine smiles and openness, making us feel at home despite being far from our own country. Our first day in the field was not only an introduction to a new academic setting but also the start of meaningful connections and unforgettable experiences.
