I aimed to establish a positive classroom environment where mistakes and differences were accepted, allowing students to express themselves freely and confidently. To effectively manage the class and gain students’ attention, I used my name, “ANGIELYN,” as a classroom cue. Whenever I called out my name, the students would respond with “Shhh!”, signaling everyone to stop, settle down, and listen attentively. This routine became an effective strategy in maintaining order and focus during classroom activities.

This approach aligned with the concept of Classical Conditioning by creating a consistent stimulus-response pattern that encouraged students to associate the cue with attentive behavior. Over time, the strategy helped foster classroom discipline in a simple yet engaging manner.

Moreover, I applied the principles of B. F. Skinner’s reinforcement theory by encouraging desirable behaviors through positive feedback and appropriate classroom management practices. Students who demonstrated good behavior, active participation, and cooperation were recognized and praised, while fair and respectful reminders were given to address disruptions or inappropriate conduct. This helped promote responsibility, respect, and active engagement among learners.
